I spent the day writing a demo app. It was fun but somewhat hollow. I was just making it up as I went along. I was told the customer was looking for something along certain lines but the sales guy didn’t know enough about the process to write it down and our tech manager was tied up with some paying work. The demo is Wednesday morning so I’ve got until noon tomorrow to complete it and then I get half a day to rehearse for the demo.

This wouldn’t have been half bad if the script had been written first and I was allowed to write the software to follow the script. As it stands now, though, I’ll be left with half a day tomorrow to come up with a presentation of the demo app that will hopefully spark an interst in our prospective customer. I think I need to spend a little more time with our sales guy.

I’m happy to see there is a lack of official support for the fatwa against the ThisDay reporter who wrote the story about the Nigerian Miss World pagaent. I still wish I had heard a US Muslim cleric critical of the call for a fatwa.
