Professionally, I’m a factory automation designer with eighteen years experience. I work with both hardware and software design for controlling and monitoring manufacturing and packaging processes. Currently I am employed by Polytron as an engineer.
Personally I’m a native Tennesseean, born in Chattanooga, who has been married for over twenty-six years — to the same wonderful [...]

Mark, You Are Being An Ass
July 12th, 2003 · No Comments
I can understand the frustration when someone publishes something and by the time you comment on it the words have changed. Still, in an activity that should be relaxing and reflective and suddenly everything you write is placed under a microscope for edits then that relaxing, reflective environment is destroyed and the destroyer is an [...]

Via Mark Paschal, Adam Curry shows us that he has more bucks than brains.
Or maybe it’s me the one who’s clueless. I don’t see how the (not)Echo project stands to damage Mr. Curry in the least bit. RSS 2.0 will continue to be supported by aggregators for the foreseeable future. Even if it wasn’t, changing [...]

Dave Winer: RSS 2.0 is cool because it’s all specified in one place, written in simple non-technical English that your VP-Business Development could probably understand.

Turn Down That Racket
July 7th, 2003 · No Comments
I’ve been out in the garage vacuuming and detailing my wife’s 2000 Sebring JXi Convertible. Earlier today she had bought a Beach Boys compilation CD and it just seemed appropriate to turn up the volume on the CD player while I was working on the car. I was having a blast.
After about 15 minutes my [...]

While I’m not as unhappy with President George W. Bush as many of my peers are there are some things about this presidency that I’m still uneasy with. I like tax cuts as much as the next guy but I’m more intrigued with true government spending cuts. You know, where they spend fewer total dollars [...]

Yet another syndication format, necho 0.1, has been introduced by Sam Ruby and gang. Sam offered a preliminary spec for the format and others are releasing feeds in this format so I’m following suit. My necho 0.1 file can be found in my list of syndication feeds there on the right.
