The Word is Alopecoid
It means "fox-like" but it should mean "true grit." At the National Spelling Bee young Akshay Buddiga is given the word "alopecoid" and he faints dead on the spot but he isn’t out for the count. He takes a moment to compose himself and then nails the word. Who said spelling bees weren’t exciting.
