Eighth Grade Math
I thought pretty hard before I took this quiz. I would be embarassed with anything less than 100% so I didn’t know if I wanted to face the possibility of not scoring perfectly on the quiz. I have to admit I sweated my choice on median/average/mode.

I am known as a math illiterate, so I shouldn’t have felt any pressure, but I did. 16 plus years of schools and testing have left an indelible mark. I am irritated that I don’t know what I missed to score 9/10. I guessed in the mean/median/mode question, Larry. What was the correct answer?

Mean is the data point in the middle, in other words if you have five data points, 3, 2, 5, 4, 2, placed in ascending order, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, then 3 would be the mean. The average would be the sum of the data divided by the quantity of the data or 16/5 and the mode would be the most often occuring data or 2. The correct answer for the question you are inquiring about was mode.
