Yeah, I’m still here.

I guess I need to let y’all know I’m still kicking and I do intend to continue with this weblog but I just don’t seem to be able to find the time to write about the things that are interesting me and the trivial stuff just isn’t inspiring me to write. This post will be a little about me and my family and what’s going on in my life.

I’ve been at my new job for about four weeks now and things seem to be going well. I’m working for a single customer, reporting to their plant every morning. I’ve forgone my hour long lunch for a thirty minute one at my desk and I’m coming into work at 7:00am so I’m able to declare a normal 8 hour day over at 3:30pm. This is important in Atlanta.

My oldest son joined the TNARNG and is in the middle of basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He is going to be coming home on 12/20 and then going back on 01/03 to start his AIT. I’m proud of my son for what he’s doing but I’m also very concerned about his safety right now. I’ll save some of my thoughts on that for another post.

My wife is going back to school at nights. She thinks she wants to pick up a degree in psychology. That may change as she takes the courses but I think that curriculum is a good choice for her right now. She is a Stephen Minister and a very good one at that.

My youngest son had a little fender bender the other night and he’s now concerned he will lose his license over it. He’s only seventeen right now and the state of Georgia is pretty tough on youthful drivers. His court date is in February for the ticket he received. That ought to give him an opportunity to save up the money to pay for the ticket.

There’s more but this post seems boring enough so I’ll leave it at this. Let’s see if this helps me out of my writer’s block. I’ll try to have something a little more interesting in the next few days.

Glad to see you posting again, Larry. I can relate to both your comments about RL and finding something non-trivial as subject matter for posts.

Your son going into the NG is potentially a great thing for him. Potentially a worry for his parents, too, as you commented.

As far as youthful fender benders, I had three my senior year in high school. I survived, so did my parents and the insurance company. No tickets, though.

See you on the blogs and boards…
