A couple of days.

The last two days have been interesting. Tuesday I had a meeting in Augusta, Georgia with a very good customer of ours. Augusta is 160 miles away. My whole purpose for being at the meeting was as a technical resource to answer questions that might POP up. A few did but for the most part […]

Negotiations

There are a few things I’ve learned over the years about how to handle bill that I think are too high but I have nothing really objective to base my feelings on. In my younger years I had a horrible time in successfully negotiating bills to a satisfactory conclusion. It usually concluded with me screaming […]

An Alaskan Leprechaun

A friend of mine has a website called AlaskanLeprechaun.com where he’s selling his stained glass creations. He’s having trouble getting indexed by Google so if some of you are so inclined a link to him to give him a boost would be appreciated.

A Busy Month

Both of my sons were born this month. My oldest turned 21 this past thursday while my youngest turns 16 on the 26. We are taking them to Cancun at the end of the month. In the meantime my yard is blossoming out with shrubs growing and weeds appearing and I’ve got a dozen things […]

A funeral

I’ve got to travel back home to Chattanooga after lunch today for a viewing at a funeral home this afternoon and to be a pallbearer in a funeral tomorrow. This is such a tragedy on more levels than I feel comfortable talking about on this weblog but I do want to address one thing, some people can’t be trusted to live in society.

Just — Damn!

I got off the phone a few minutes ago with my father. He had some chilling news. My brother’s sister-in-law and her two children were killed by her husband.

Ten year old conversations

About ten years ago I had a conversation with Dan, well, I’ve had a number of conversations with Dan over the years but evidently this conversation stuck with him. I’m glad I was somehow involved in what he seems as a positive step for himself. I just wish I could remember the conversation.

Well, the long awaited court date came and went on March 1. I’m just now having an opportunity to sit down and write about it. It did not conclude to my satisfaction.

Valentine’s Day Rehash

I bought my wife a pair of heart shaped mystic smokey topaz earrings and got her a card and slipped them onto her dresser while she was in the shower yesterday morning. She seemed to like them. I took her to the Lil River Grill last night for dinner. She seemed to like that also. […]

Written Up in InControl

For those of you who are curious about what I really do for a living InControl did a write up on my company and on a project that I had a minor role in. The ArmorStarts featured in the article really were instrumental in our getting the project completed on time.

Happy New Year

Okay, I know I’m a few days late but I’ve been busy.
I’m adding Google’s AdSense back to this weblog. I don’t expect to get any money from it but I’m amused with some of the ads that get targeted to this site. If something appeals to you please click through.
Right now I’m in the […]

He’s in the money

I bought my son an electric scooter for his fourteenth birthday for $200. He turned fifteen this past May. during that year and a few months he road that little scooter into the ground. The front wheel bearing was completely shot and the scooter is generally worn out and will no longer charge.
Yesterday I read […]

A Pickup

Next Friday will mark my twenty-seventh wedding anniversary. Twenty-seven years is a long time to be married and I’m proud as I can be of every one of those years. I love my wife dearly and would never do anything to damage our relationship or her trust.
That being said, there are some things that […]

Da Worm Buys a Bike

My friend, Jeff, has bought himself a bicycle and is determined to get back in shape. To chronicle this he has started a weblog. Jeff is your typical geek. He’s a 37 year old bachelor with a BSEE who loves beer and stale marshmellow peeps. He has a sample of just about every piece of […]

Two Birds With One Stone

Sunday I bought a 1980 Mazda 626 from a fellow for $600. I plan on it being a project car that will become a daily commuter for me and then a first car for my soon to be fifteen year-old son. I was thinking about journaling my progress on the old jalopy here but decided […]
