Two things are disturbing me today; the Supreme Court has decided that I really have no property rights and the US House of Representatives has decided we need to protect the US flag from desecration with a constitutional amendment. I’m not sure that I haven’t just witnessed the true end of America as I know […]

There’s this website out there that wants me to sign a petition to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. Now back prior to the Reagan years the FCC required all newscast to be fair and balanced. They required any show that gave one political view point to be balanced with the same amount of time given […]

It looks like Atlanta is going out to find itself and spend $15 million in the process of doing so. Atlanta is a very diverse town so it’s not going to be easy to find a way to succinctly convey that diversity in a single brand and I’m not sure that it’s as necessary of […]

The Senate has been in an uproar this past week over rule changes that could take away the Democrats ability to block federal court judgeship appointments. Some Republicans want to reduce the number of votes required for cloture from 60 to 51 making it possible for them to break the filibusters the Democrats are threatening […]

ROME (Reuters) - Italy’s foreign minister said on Tuesday the killing of an Italian intelligence agent in Iraq by U.S. forces had been a tragic accident, but added that Rome did not believe the U.S. military’s version of events.
I’ve been looking and looking at this incident and wondering how it could have happened. I’ve read […]
Stars have held various political offices throughout the years with Sonny Bono being elected to congress, Arnold Scwartznegger being elected govenor of California and Ronald Regan being elected both govenor of California and President of the United States. The most bizarre political news involving a celebrity, though, is thatBono or U2 fame may head World […]

While Speigel is seeing a Bush who tells things like they are the Wasington Post calls it The Bush-Putin Mutual Admiration Society. It’s funny how these things are seen differently.
In the first test of the lofty promises from Bush’s inaugural address, in which he vowed to confront “every ruler and every nation” about internal repression […]

Okay, I don’t think Spiegel for one instant think that German Chancellor Gerhard Shroeder should take on the same ideology as US President George W. Bush but it sure is clear they would like to see him act more like President Bush.
But Bush, for all his diplomatic bumbling prior to and even since the Iraq […]

Those “Bush Tapes” that every one is talking about give us an indication that things never got as bad as they could have gotten in that first term.
Private telephone conversations with George W. Bush secretly taped by an old friend who used to live in Springfield show the future president once considered John Ashcroft to […]

It appears that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi may have been arrested. It’s curious that at this time (01/04/2004 10:46 AM EST) there is no word about this in US news sources.
You knew it was going to happen. All those supposed terrorist being detained down at Gitmo are going to have to have some sort of final dispostion decided for them by the US. It appears that some pentagon and intelligence officials feel that they need to be kept incarcerated for the rest of their lives […]

I love it when people run the numbers for me. Josh Norton over at strip mining for whimsy did his own analysis of the Forida vote and has come to the conclusion that there was no voter fraud. I just wish he had published the spreadsheet he used to come to that conclusion.
Oh, and […]

I’ve heard so many different people giving analysis on why the Democrats lost in the election. It seems they are all missing the obvious. They picked the wrong man to be their candidate. Kerry has not a drop of charisma and never gave a strong reason to vote for him other than he wasn’t George […]

It appears that I could have been wrong yesterday. Regardless of the electoral college count Bush’s lead with the popular vote reported this morning is standing at 3.5 million Bush has garnered more public support than Kerry.
I’m going to be stuck inside a customer’s site all day. I’ll be interested in what the news […]
